Alan F. Friedman, PhD, Consulting Clinical Psychologist - Chicago, IL

Dr. Friedman is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in leadership development and high-level executive selection. He has been associated with HPi in the role of Consulting Psychologist, prior to the founding of the Firm. Dr. Friedman was previously the Chief Psychologist in charge of emergency services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He has been the Consulting Psychologist for the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, since 1984 and has also served in this capacity to the New York Diocese.

Dr. Friedman received his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati and interned at the Ohio State University Medical School. He completed his Master’s degree at California State University and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Medical School and is a Fellow in the Society for Personality Assessment. He is also a member of the American and Illinois Psychological Associations. Alan is a senior author of three highly acclaimed textbooks on psychological assessment and his most recent book was published in its second edition in August 2001. He has worked with HPi since inception and has consulted on career engagements for over 15 years.
