Christopher L. Wagner, Senior Executive Consultant - Chicago, IL

Chris Wagner is a Consultant and Performance/Career Coach who specializes in the Financial and Professional Services Industries. He has been a consultant and an executive coach with HPi since it’s founding. Chris entered the Career Consulting field in 1997 following a highly successful career with The First National Bank of Chicago. His career consulting/coaching experience includes assessment work with hundreds of clients and the application of the full range of assessment tools including Myers-Briggs, Birkman and 360° feedback. His Commercial Banking background includes: ten years of experience in the International Banking field, including 4 years of service in Europe and Latin America; twelve years of Senior Management responsibility for various units of First Chicago’s Corporate Cash Management Business and 4 years of leadership responsibility for the Bank’s Administration Department, where he served as Senior Vice President and Department Head. Chris’s experience in the professional services industry is a result of his service as Executive Director of McDermott, Will and Emery. In that capacity, he managed the Law Firm’s 900 person support staff located throughout the U.S. and Europe. His functional expertise in the financial and professional services industries is broad and diverse including Marketing, Product Management/Development, Operations/Customer Service/IT Management, Finance, Strategic Sourcing and Real Estate.

Chris has held leadership positions in a number of professional organizations/associations including the Bank Administration Institute, the Chicago Clearing House and SWIFT. He coaches and consults at both the executive and professional level and is skilled in the application of experiential learning and group facilitation techniques. He holds a BBA Degree (Bus. Admin) from St. Norbert College and is an alumnus of the Loyola University Rome (Italy) Center for the Liberal Arts.
